Lower Yaphank Lake is yet another great spot for kayakers of all skill levels. Located off of the LIE (RT. 495) at exit 67 in Yaphank on route 21 North. The 20-acre lake starts out wide then quickly narrows into a winding adventure. The river and lake are relatively shallow making marine wildlife easy to spot. A small fee is required.
